It was a peaceful market at John Brown Park! It was once again a beautiful morning last Saturday, August 24th. The extreme heat was nice enough to steer clear until after our market. We've learned that once county and state fairs starts it tends to be slower than at the beginning of our season. We still had a good number of our community come out, enjoy the fresh air, and support our vendors!
School started Friday, so I hosted a Back to School Photo Booth. Each kid to use the photo booth got a bookmark and candy! Not every kid was up to me taking their photo, so parents took their photo. It didn't matter to me who took the photo as long as the kids who attended the market had a good time with it!
If your kid was one of the few that let me take their photo you can download it below!
Joe Hadar came down to play music and set up an info booth for Humboldt Hardpack and sell tickets for the concert fundraiser they're putting on for the Three Rivers Trail. All proceeds going towards connecting the trail to Fort Dodge! If you want to know more about that or their yearly bike ride follow their Facebook page here: Humboldt Hardpack!
Our Vendors
It was a peaceful market, and it was lovely for Sammi and I to get the chance to sit back and enjoy it. It's hard to do that on our busier markets. It felt almost like a reward! We've really enjoyed being located at John Brown Park!
We've heard a lot of the same sentiments from our vendors and the community. There have been a lot of comments in person and on Facebook saying we should stay at John Brown Park. Well, you have spoken and we're listening... We'll be located at John Brown Park for the last three markets of 2024!
August has 5 Saturdays, so it'll be 3 weeks til our next Humboldt Farmer's market. We hope you join us once again at John Brown Park Saturday, September 14th! We're nearing the end of our market season, which means fall is right around the corner!
Until then stay safe, be kind and we'll talk soon!
