June 10th Humboldt Farmer's Market RECAP!

Well, well, well, here I am to tell you how our Humboldt Farmer's Market went yesterday, June 10th. It was the third market of the 2023 season and was the best one yet! Watching our small event grow each time is so awesome. Plus, we LUCKED out on weather! What could've been super rainy and cold ended up being overcast and, dare I say, the PERFECT temp!

This week's activities consisted of root beer floats (provided by the Humboldt Hy-Vee) and the Humboldt Public Library hosted a story time with Julie at 10am with a craft to follow with Jeremy and Athena (father & daughter). We had a record number of kiddos show up today! All eyes were on Julie as she read to the kids. Then, they all crowded around Jeremy and Athena while they gave instructions on how to fold the paper into flowers! After the craft the info booth (always set up in front of the statue) had a crowd wanting root beer floats; some just wanted ice cream.

Lennie brought eggs for sale and sold out before 9am! Three Rivers Kringla also sold out, twice. The first time about 10am then we had my husband run and get more from our stock at home, and we sold out again! All of our vendors did well yesterday! That's what we love to see. We're organizing this event to bring the community together and support all of the vendors we bring in; we're doing this to build each other up! Every market we see more and more people walk through, but we're also seeing market "regulars".

We love hearing community feedback and seeing the passion in customers that we have in organizing each market event. Our passion has carried over into other members of the community who have stepped up to help sponsor us and organize events/activites throughout the season. We're so grateful to everyone who has helped us make the Humboldt Farmer's Market happen.

Our next market, June 24th, is going to be the biggest one yet! It's the Touch a Truck event. We'll have the street blocked off for various trucks and equipment for everyone to see and a bingo sheet for all the kids to fill out with stickers as they walk around! It's going to be a blast. More details will be shared on our Facebook page and Facebook event!

If you or anyone you know wants to be a vendor click here or email us at HumboldtFarmersMarket@gmail.com

Until then stay safe, be kind and we'll talk soon!
